Jaun, who has lived a life of oppression under his relatives, finds his already bleak existence turned upside down when a mysterious plague begins ravaging the village, claiming many lives.
As fear grips the community, the villagers turn to an old legend, starting a sacrificial ritual where maidens are offered to appease the mythical Imoogi. Under pressure from his family, Jaun is forced to take the place of his cousin as the offering.
Terrified, Jaun whispers the name of his childhood friend, a small snake he called Sosa. To his shock, an enigmatic man appears before him. Realizing this man is the Imoogi from the legend, Jaun is further stunned when, instead of harming him, the creature treats him with unexpected kindness—rekindling memories of his little snake companion, Sosa.
